3Decent  Jun 26, 2010
By Clint
First of all let me say this is my first review of any product but i somehow felt the need to write a review this time around. When i received this case i was loving the feel of it and the band felt pretty good also, however, when put my N1 in the case i realized that it wasnt a tight fit....i mean...its close but not tight enough in my opinion. So i decided to test it, i placed my phone in it and attached the armband. I then began to shake it vigorously and as expected, the phone flew out the case and took a hard fall on the tile!! I nearly cried, but it had no scuffs and was still working after the fall..:-)..i say that to say that if u intend to use this with a bluetooth headset, you phone will get thrown out because the top of the rubber sleeve is rather thin. However, i do realize that once there's a headset plugged into the 3.5mm jack that problem becomes non existent. I would give it 5 stars if the rubber at the top was a bit more sturdy to hold the phone in place but i cant...

3It get's the job done....  Aug 20, 2010
By Mike F.
This case isn't a bad product, but it could be much better. This is the only case I've found that's designed for the Nexus One, so I got it immediately. The phone fits in the case well, but it's not tight. It seems like it can pop out with vigorous movement, but with your headphones plugged in, you "should" be OK. I'm a big guy and I knew the armband would be tight, so I wear it on my forearm and luckily, I haven't had that problem yet. Here's my problem! Since I'm working out, I'm building up a lot of sweat. Sweat that runs down my arms runs INTO the armband case and gets the back of my phone wet! A couple times, I have popped the battery cover of my phone to wipe the moisture in the battery area. Since the arm band passes through the silicon case through slots, I see this as a design flaw. Maybe the case isn't intended for people who are, or trying to be extremely active. I don't know. My solution for now is to keep a small piece of folded tissue in the case to absorb any excessive sweat. So far it's working fine, until I find a better armband case.

3Nothing special  Jun 06, 2010

This product isn't bad, but it's not great either. Pretty standard soft rubber skin, too thick in the back in my opinion, but I assume that is to make sure the armband doesn't rip through it. The screen protector is of a standard quality, had a hard time getting the backing off though, they could have added a split to peel it off. The armband itself is the real disappointment though... far too small. I don't even have particularly large biceps but the armband just about feels like it's cutting of my circulation. I can wear it on my forearm fairly comfortably but then my headphone cable gets in the way.

4Does what I bought it for, but some of the extras not as useful as you might think...  May 11, 2010
By Alan J. Hsieh
Grantwood Technology's Tuneband armband / silicone skin comes with the 3 stated components:

1. Armband - seems of reasonably high quality. Small velcro mat at the end, with a long patch of the fuzzy velcro running the length of the armband for maximum flexibility. While exercising, I was not concerned about security of the velcro, at least thus far in its life span.
2. Silicone skin - you need it to use the armband, as the armband functions by tunneling through 2 holes in the skin. Standard soft-shell skin. I actually prefer to use the slip-case that came with my N1, so I only use the silicone skin for exercising.

I bought the tuneband for these 2 components. Albeit a little pricey for my taste, it gets the job done well. There is however a 3rd component:

3. Screen protector - the screen protector adheres well, and I didn't have a problem with any bubbles. Again, it seems to protect the screen. HOWEVER, there is a drawback. I feel like it has materially decreased the sensitivity of the touchscreen since application. It is not so severe as to be overly frustrating, but it seems noticeable, in particular around the edges of the screen.

I suspect I will at some point just get irritated enough that I attempt to remove it... I will let you all know if there are any difficulties in doing so by editing this review in the future.

1It nearly killed my Nexus One  Oct 30, 2011
By Kozak "KMI"
The rubber sleeve that grips the Nexus is VERY flimsy and will not stand up to standard vibration/shaking of your armband.
I use it cycling on a high end road bike (not off road) and a small pothole (which caused no damage to my bike wheel or rim) bump caused my Nexus to fly out of the case and smash on the road! Luckily I repaired my Nexus but cursed that armband. I have stopped using it.
Don't spend money on this item - look for a better stronger armband.
