 wonderful product for non-nike runners Nov 17, 2009
I love that I can use my Nike+ system without having to buy Nike shoes and not worry about losing the sensor anymore! The armband is comfortable and I can access the controls and all ports easily. The ipod is able to vent, but I would prefer if there was a screen protector included. :) However, if that's the one thing I have to live with, I'll take it...this system has made my running carefree and fun!

Grantwood Technology's Shoe Pouch is an excellent way to securely attach the iPod sensor to your running/walking shoes. You don't need to buy a pair of Nike+ shoes. If you're hard to fit (like me) or if you prefer a different brand of running shoes, this product is a great solution. As far as I can tell, the Nike+ iPod system is just as accurate placing the sensor on top of your foot as it would be with the sensor in the sole of your shoe, just secure it as tightly as you can. I also bought the Tuneband by Grantwood Technology and it's a simple, inexpensive and functional armband. It doesn't look as flashy as the Nike brand armband but it works a whole lot better. With the Nike band my iPod would get sweaty with every run but with the Tuneband it does not, and I can keep my iPod always in the silicone case for protection at all times. I just remove the band part. By the way, the band is long enough for larger arms while still accommodating smaller arms like mine. I highly recommend both of these products. It's a small price to pay to be able to use the Nike+ iPod system for your runs and to get all the data that system provides you.

This is exactly what it says it is. It picks up the movement well no problems with it. The armband is one of the best I've ever used. I highly recommend it.

I bought the Tune Band and Shoe Pouch combo, because I needed the Tune band right away. I was wearing Nike+ shoes at the time, so I stored the pouch for future use. After several months, I retrieved the pouch for its first use, and a necessary piece of velcro fell off as soon as I opened the package. It was held on by a couple of sewn stiches, but the thread didn't have any knots tied, so it pulled right off. I paid for the product, but was unable to use it, because it's junk. By the time I discovered that, it was too late for a refund.

The Ipod pouch for the Nike+Ipod is awesome. I run alot and Nikes don't last very long for me so spending the extra cash on the special Nike shoes was pointless. Now I can buy any brand of shoe and still use the Nike+Ipod. The directions on the pouch have you lace and unlace your shoes everytime you use it...I simply laced the pouch backwards for easy insert and removal when not in use. A good buy!
