Magnet turns on screen and unlocks phone Mar 27, 2010
The case is beautiful and you can tell it is made with high quality products. Sadly, there is only one way you can put the phone (Verizon Motorola Droid) in the case without it turning on, which is the screen facing out and the bottom of the phone to the left. Otherwise, the phone will turn itself on as soon as the flap closes (caused by the magnet, I suppose) and the phone goes into a multimedia state, of which I have never seen this phone do, nor do I know how to get back to that screen other than putting the phone in the case in the wrong direction. I would not recommend this case for the Verizon Motorola Droid should you not want to pay attention careful attention as to how you put your phone back in the case. I would also be concerned with the fact that if you do not put the phone in the right direction, your battery will not last long, and the magnet seems to make the screen do weird stuff like the clock will wrap two lines.
